After global acclaim from Apple, Mashable and The Guardian, social media giant Facebook has now shown an interest in what’s pegged as the next big thing in mobile messaging. Underpinned by attractive typesets, eye-catching graphics and oodles of creativity, DeeMe has quickly gained almost 200,000 users since launching just three months ago. Now, digital communication deity Facebook wants in on the revolution and has pledged to support the typographic messaging app with eighty thousand dollars as part of its coveted mentor program.
Frode Alver Nilsen, CEO of DeeMe says, “We are beyond excited to be recognised by Facebook, a company that is one of the biggest enterprises on the planet.”
Despite the fact that DeeMe has only been live for just over 70 days it’s already won itself a following of over 110,000 users in its test markets of Norway, Denmark and Lithuania. Now the messaging app ignites in other parts of the world – during the last few days alone, it has been downloaded by nearly 60,000 Brazilians.
Analysis of usage has shown high involvement within this young “early adapters” group who can’t seem to get enough of the interactive messaging app. The global buzz was quick to attract the attention of Facebook and its panel of judges fronting the high profile mentor program.
Facebook has revealed that DeeMe was picked for its impressive development, innovative concept and potential for continued growth. The social media titan will now support the DeeMe engineers with $80,000 worth of free services, tools and mentorship to help accelerate the app.
“Of course, it’s wonderful to wake up to the news that Facebook has taken an interest in the company. The fact that tech giants such as Apple and Facebook have shown support in such early stages demonstrates that we have serious potential to take on the international arena. Having Facebook on our team is a tremendous asset for us and is exactly what we need to develop DeeMe at the highest level,” says Nilsen.
Blending elements of Instagram, WhatsApp, Snapchat, Pinterest and other social messaging applications, DeeMe represents a new era of creativity for mobile communication. Aesthetics lie at the heart of the platform which gives users the creative license to fashion beautiful messages that appeal to the inherent human attraction to visual stimulation. For the next generation of artistic millennials who demand digitalisation in almost every aspect of their daily lives, DeeMe has proven market appeal.
DeeMe is available for all devices running iOS or Android systems. Users can download DeeMe for FREE from the Apple App Store and Google Play.
